The Centre for Space Futures (CSF), affiliated with the World Economic Forum, held its first Board of Directors meeting of the year, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the Centre’s Board of Directors, led by Eng. Mishaal Ashemimry, Managing Director and with the participation of the board members.

The meeting focused on CSF’s 2025 priorities, including its research agenda, performance indicators, and refined operating model. Board members expressed strong support for the direction presented, particularly the Center’s bold vision and clearly defined initiatives for the year ahead.

Eng. Ashemimry presented an integrated framework to advance space policy, innovation, and international collaboration. The presentation was met with enthusiasm, with board members commending the Centre’s strategic clarity, ambition, and emerging impact on both the national and global levels.

Following the meeting, Eng. Ashemimry noted that the session marked a clear inflection point for CSF, emphasizing that the endorsement from the board will accelerate efforts to foster global dialogue, drive innovation, and contribute to shaping a sustainable future for the space sector.

The Centre for Space Futures is a global centre established by the Saudi Space Agency (SSA) and the World Economic Forum (WEF).  As part of the WEF's Centers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) network, the CSF is dedicated to advancing the global space economy through policy development, technological innovation, and strategic partnerships.

مجلس إدارة مركز مستقبل الفضاء يعتمد توجهاته الاستراتيجية 

عقد مركز مستقبل الفضاء التابع للمنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي، مؤخرا، أول اجتماعات مجلس إدارته لهذا العام، برئاسة معالي رئيس مجلس إدارة المركز د. محمد بن سعود التميمي، وبقيادة الرئيس التنفيذي للمركز المهندسة مشاعل الشميمري، وحضور أعضاء مجلس الإدراة

واستعرض المجلس خلال اجتماعه الأول، أولويات المركز للعام 2025م، والتي شملت الأجندة البحثية، ومؤشرات الأداء، ونموذج التشغيل المُحدّث، حيث عبّر الأعضاء عن دعمهم الكامل للتوجهات الاستراتيجية المقترحة، مؤكدين على أهمية الرؤية الطموحة للمركز والمبادرات النوعية المقررة للعام المقبل

وقدّمت المهندسة مشاعل الشميمري عرضًا شاملاً تضمن إطارًا متكاملاً لتعزيز سياسات الفضاء، وتحفيز الابتكار، وتوسيع نطاق التعاون الدولي، وهو ما حظي بإشادة أعضاء المجلس، الذين نوهوا بوضوح التوجهات، ومستوى الطموح، والأثر الإيجابي الذي بدأ المركز في تحقيقه

وأكدت الشميمري في تصريح لها أن الاجتماع مثّل نقطة تحوّل لمسيرة المركز، مشيرة إلى أن الدعم الذي حظي به من مجلس الإدارة سيسهم في تسريع خطواته نحو تعزيز الحوار العالمي، وتمكين الابتكار، والمساهمة في صياغة مستقبل فضاء مستدام

ويُعد مركز مستقبل الفضاء منصة عالمية ومركز تفكير استراتيجي، المحتضن وكالة الفضاء السعودية بالتعاون مع المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي، ويهدف إلى تسريع نمو اقتصاد الفضاء العالمي من خلال الربط بين السياسات والتقنيات الحديثة، وتعزيز الشراكات الدولية في هذا المجال الحيوي
